Weekday School is a Christian preschool serving children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.  Our school is known for its committed teaching staff, play-based learning environment, and personalized focus on each child. Small class sizes and a strong network of parent volunteers ensure that the Weekday School is an ideal place for young children to grow and learn.

Our drive-thru drop off and pick up is convenient for parents, especially given the challenges of parking downtown. With this convenience comes a crucial responsibility to keep children safe in and around cars on our campus. As we begin the year, please be aware that we will be enforcing the following carpool safety policies.

1. Children must remain in their carseats at all times.

Please do not allow your child to get out of their car seat before a staff member helps them out. While it is tempting to let your child sit in your lap or lean out the window when you are waiting or moving slowly in the carpool line, it is not safe. If we observe this happening, we will ask you to re-buckle your child. Here’s why staying buckled keeps children safe.

2. Drivers must refrain from using mobile phones in the carpool area.

Once the carpool line gets moving, it’s time to focus on one thing and one thing only. Getting your child safely out of or into your car. Please save texting, phone calls and “liking” for another time. If we notice cell phone use during active carpool time, we will ask you to put it away.  Children are too important to risk being distracted behind the wheel. Here are additional guidelines for our carpool.

Did you know that we have two security guards in addition to two WDS staff members that oversee carpool each day? Our assistant teachers and classroom floaters personally escort each child from the car door to the classroom door.
