“O” is for “October.”
Even though temperatures remain high, our classrooms are filling up with pumpkins, apples, acorns, and fall leaves (faux or out of state). “O” is for “orange” playdough too. Thank you to the parents who made this month’s batch.
“O” is for “one.”
We have ONE fundraiser this year. Can you guess what it is? It’s the Fun Fair, silly. It’s like the world’s greatest preschool party with school friends. You do not want to miss it! We need one hundred percent of you to support it. Have you purchased your tickets? Will you donate an item to the Silent Auction? October is our month to organize the whole shindig so jump in and help us out. Remember, no cookie dough, gift wrap, or magazine sales later in the year. Fun Fair is the one and only!
“O” is for “overwhelming.”
Being a parent can be overwhelming. There is so much to think about, plan for, PAY for. I think we all walk around with low-grade worry that we are messing up our kids. At Weekday School, we want to support you. We want to equip and encourage you. Check out “Tune into Emotional Literacy” in this newsletter for some helpful pointers about supporting your child's emotional development...that might help you with your emotional overwhelm too!
At Weekday School, we believe that we don’t do this parenting or school on our own. We believe in a God who watches over us and our children.
“The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm– he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Psalm 125:5-8
My prayer for you this October is that you would cherish these words in your heart and speak them over your children (who we love so much!).
