Weekday School is a Christian preschool serving children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.  Our school is known for its committed teaching staff, play-based learning environment, and personalized focus on each child. Small class sizes and a strong network of parent volunteers ensure that the Weekday School is an ideal place for young children to grow and learn.

It is nice when an event lives up to it’s name. Fun Fair did just that. It was a fantastic day for our school family. We are thankful to God (weather! safety!), to the amazing committee who powered the event, and to all of you attended, bringing friends and family members with you. Let’s just take a moment to bask in the afterglow…..ahhhhhh! So much FUN!

This month we are teaching preschoolers about Thanksgiving by focusing on the name of the holiday: “thanks” and “giving.” Yes, Thanksgiving is about a special meal we share with friends and family. If preschoolers were in charge of the menu it would be chicken nuggets, plain noodles, and goldfish crackers - skip the rest!

Thanksgiving is also an opportunity to GIVE to other children and families in our community who are in need. We’re asking children to bring canned food into school on the days leading up to our Thanksgiving Worship Service (Wednesday, November 15). This will be their offering as they enter the sanctuary. After the service we will deliver the food to The Christian Service Center for food pantries located in public schools throughout Orlando.

Thanksgiving is a time for saying THANK YOU. Young children are learning how important it is to say “thank you” to one another for small kindnesses. We also teach them to say thank you to God for everything He has done for us. The Bible says “Every good and perfect gift comes from God.” (James 1:17) Even though we don’t actually see God when we receive good things like families, and a home, and friends;  we know and believe that God is the true giver. At the Thanksgiving Worship Service, the children will sing their songs of thanksgiving to God for His many blessings to us. We look forward to seeing you all there!

With a grateful heart,
